Church in Surrey

Reliable, affordable printing for a church in Surrey

This Church of England parish church, based in Surrey, welcomes everyone who wishes to explore the Christian faith and plays an active role in its local community.

Elite Charity Solutions reached out to the church to introduce their dedicated print offering for the Charity and Education sectors. The key advantages of this offering were the short-term contract and low copy costs.

The church had recently purchased a second-hand multifunction photocopier for around £2,000. A local provider serviced and maintained it on a cost-per-copy basis. The church relied on the machine for day-to-day printing, as well as regular magazine and booklet production.

The Challenges

The church’s main challenge was reliability.

Many organisations are unaware of the difference between second-hand and remanufactured equipment, the former being “sold as seen” and often requiring further parts or servicing, while the latter is fully refurbished to an “as new” standard.

Their second-hand machine created two major issues:

Inefficiency
Because the device was not refurbished, problems developed quickly. The most disruptive was a persistent jamming issue, which slowed booklet printing dramatically and created considerable waste of paper and toner. The church made numerous calls to their provider, and despite repeated engineer visits, the issue was never properly resolved, consuming valuable time.

Cost
The high cost per copy, combined with the waste caused by ongoing faults, made the equipment uneconomical.

The Solution

During initial discussions, it became clear that the church needed a reliable device capable of printing, copying, stapling and producing booklets, without a large financial outlay.

Elite Charity Solutions recommended a fast, remanufactured 45-page-per-minute machine capable of producing high-quality printed materials such as parish magazines.

The device was installed smoothly, and engineers provided full training to key staff. The old machine was removed and traded in on the church’s behalf.

Through the Charity offering, the church benefited from no long-term contract, no upfront costs and no ongoing lease payments, alongside a machine replacement guarantee, ensuring that if the device ever became unreliable, it would be replaced.

The Result?

Lower Printing Costs

Lower cost-per-copy pricing and reduced waste meant immediate savings, made even better by receiving the machine at no cost.

Increased Productivity

Faster printing, better scanning functionality and greater reliability saved staff significant time previously spent dealing with issues.

Guaranteed Service

With no long-term contracts, Elite Charity Solutions ensured customer satisfaction through excellent service, resolving any issues quickly and professionally.
